Film Project: Malatesta's Carnival

Malatestas Carnival of Blood

Yes it's back -- that '70s horror cult classic
Malatesta's Carnival of Blood.

Considered a lost film for almost thirty years, Malatesta's Carnival prints had all disappeared following initial distribution in the Southern Drive-In Circuit. Interest in many of the stars, especially Hervé de Villachaize, has kept interest in the film alive. A single print was discovered in filmmaker Christopher Speeth's attic. It was taken to the American Zoetrope Studios for mastering to DVD.

Malatestas Carnival of Blood honored at Eerie Horror Film Festival screening The film was an official selection of the 2005 Eerie Horror Film Festival for its world premiere screening, where it won an award for best vintage or unearthed film. [press release]. Although we are actively seeking distribution, the film is now available for purchase online at Amazon.com and DiabolikDVD.com as well as the film's official website, malatestascarnivalofblood.com.
