Kudos from Gramophone Webwatch
Gramophone
Magazine, the world's oldest and most important classical record review
magazine, now features a regular Internet column entitled Webwatch, Music
lovers' guide to all that's new on the web. We were thrilled when in
the September, 2001 issue they lauded the website of virtuoso violinist Aaron
Rosand, a website designed, developed and maintained by us:

"Experimentation is part of a musician's daily activity,
so, not surprisingly, many are experimenting with websites that do more than
promote. Blending personal involvement with interactivity, artist-led websites
have a human touch while offering worthwhile entertainment - virtues that often
elude those run by managers or record labels. . . "Violinist Aaron Rosand, celebrated by both conoisseurs
of virtuosity and general listeners, maintains a subtantial site at www.aaronrosand.com.
Rosand has numerous CDs on budget label Vox and is a community- building pioneer
with a penchant for marketing his own downloadable recordings on sites like MP3.com and Vitaminic.
So it's no surprise that his site offers a lot of on-demand streaming audio.
You can hear Rosand's old-world style . . . in the Beethoven and Sibelius Violin
Concertos, the Adagio from Bach's G minor Solo Sonata, or a Ponce encore transcribed
by Jascha Heifetz. You can also learn more about the artist or even contact
him, enter his online contest for the chance to win an autographed CD, and
purchase recordings." --Adam Baer, Gramophone Magazine,
